IPS Limited was formed in July 1982 to provide a range
of IT related services. Today, the company offers primarily
computer training to end
users and consultancy
services.
IPS is an experienced
organisation, employing trainers with Microsoft,
Seagate, Adobe/Macromedia certification. We are
committed to providing quality training and consultancy
solutions to our customers as well as a rewarding but
challenging environment for our staff.

IPS offers a customised computer courses in well known,
and some not so well known, products from Microsoft, Macromedia,
Adobe, AutoDesk, and a number of others. Relevance, flexibility
and added-value are the by-words of our computer training
service.
Courses are held at customers' premises, or we can
arrange to hire fully-equipped IT training rooms in
North and East Oxford, or we can manage the hire of
IT and venues for customers further afield. IPS can
offer training at venues elsewhere in England and has
therefore the ability to handle regional and national
training programmes.
Power User Training
Computer training solutions can no longer be restricted
to purely product knowledge - business know-how and
being able to apply product knowledge are crucial
if people are to get the most from their training as
quickly as possible. We therefore only employ trainers
with sound product knowledge and real business
experience, who can deliver solutions. Whilst our Scheduled
courses use business-related examples, our Customised
training services deliver better solutions. Customised
training can be booked for individuals or groups, at
our premises or yours.
Blended Learning
It is widely acknowledged that different people have
different learning styles. In recognition of this IPS
offers a range of learning resources to bolster the

Our trainers are also consultants and developers who
can be booked by the day to create solutions for specific
organisational needs. Recently delivered projects include:
- Reports on web-held Customer Relations Management
data (Excel)
- Consolidation of Group Accounts (Excel)
- Reports on detailed medical research analysis (Access)
- A financial system for academic journals subscriptions
(Access)
- A tailored contact mananagement database updated
from records held in SAP (Access)
Solutions are phased to enable the client to review
and control the project. You aren't locked in to IPS
as the sole developer should you want to take the project
over at any point (although of course this would affect
any warranties we will have given). Knowing many customers
live in fear of projects galloping out of control, IPS
focuses a value-added, fit-for-purpose, best value-for-money
approach.

IPS Limited has an established pedigree in IT training,
drawing on its further education, technical and commercial
experience.
During the 80's, in addition to a growing number of
commercial clients, IPS became a Managing Agent for
a Youth Training Scheme and a City & Guilds 726
Information Technology examination and training centre.
This experience was recognised and culminated in the
writing of A First Course in Information Technology
for tutors and students, published by Oxford University
Press in 1988.
Jane Higgins, one of the original directors who continues
to run the company today, went on to become a founder
director of the Heart of England Training and Enterprise
Council, Oxfordshire, serving from 1989-96, and a panel
member for the SE Region National Training Awards, 1990-1993.
She served at the then Oxford and District Chamber of
Commerce, holding the position of President 1990-1992.
IPS Limited held Microsoft Solution Provider status
from 1998 to 2003. As further evidence of IPS's commitment
to training, the Company was awarded Investor in People
status in 1998.
